Raised in LaGrange, IL, by a doctor dad, John Cross was always a high achiever in school and graduated from Cornell University. The author, John Cross, was drawn to writing, so he pursued a law degree at Boston University, where he also studied journalism. Following a successful career as a Massachusetts court clerk, he retired to Maine and now devotes his passion to fiction. Influenced by Mark Twain’s humor, his writing combines humor with serious issues of compassion and humility.
